New Zealand Immigration Breaks Previous Numbers

Image result for new zealand immigration

For the past several months, the numbers when it comes to New Zealand immigration has been breaking record after record after record. There seems to be no slowing down the influx of immigrants to the country. This, of course, is not surprising as the country is one of the most popular immigrant destinations at present. So many find New Zealand to be quite the country to be an immigrant in.

Lately, the numbers for immigration in the country has again broken its previous record and nobody is not surprised anymore. The country offers a lifestyle that promotes a balance in work and pleasure which allows people to be more productive and yet not too stressed. Health is given top priority and is highly encouraged. The country itself has picturesque views that seems to be something taken right out of a painting. The economic is pretty good and the political arena also is not doing bad as well.

Another record has been broken

The country has been able to record a huge amount of Kiwis (or locals of New Zealand) leaving the country. However, despite this, immigration has still hit a new record. This means that more and more individuals from other countries are choosing to be an immigrant in NewZealand. The number of Kiwis leaving the country is immediately filled up by those coming in. With that, there are seemingly no shortages when it comes to laborers and workers which may have been left behind by those who left.

According to Statistics NZ, the official branch of the government that works on data and statistics, there were around 72,300 immigrants who chose New Zealand to be their new home. This is from the start of the year right up until June. This number is also higher by 3000 as compared to the last year. Indeed, the numbers have grown.

Aside from this, the agency has also been able to note 131,400 of arrivals and this includes those who are going to stay in the country and those who came for just a visit. This is definitely higher as compared to the 59,100 of those who left.

The steady climb

Peter Dolan is the current senior manager for population statistics of the Statistics NZ. On this phenomenon, he says that the net of annual immigration in the country has been climbing steadily. This has started to happen since the late months of 2012. During that period, New Zealand had experienced more people leaving than those arriving in the country.

He also continued that for three years, the net of annual immigration in the NZ has been breaking record after record after record. He stated that this is primarily because of the arrivals of those who are not from New Zealand and these numbers have been also increasing with each year.
