UK Immigration Numbers Can Still Go Up Even After Exit From EU

Despite the possibility of the United Kingdom finally getting through with its exit from the European Union, David Davis has been more than adamant to actually say for certain that the number of immigrants who would be hailing from EU countries will be limited. This may be the very reason why the country is choosing to exit, however, it does seem like immigration numbers will still continue to go up despite this.

David Davis is a member of the parliament and is the Secretary of the UK when it comes to the exit from the EU. He has further disclosed that despite the exit, the number of immigrants coming to the country may still go up although it will not be a continuous rise. It will rise occasionally. The Secretary was more than happy to share though that despite going through the exit, the reduction of immigration numbers will not be as intense as many hope it would be.

Dependent on immigration laborers

The very reason why immigration in the United Kingdom need not be given a cap is because it helps with providing laborers and adding to the workforce that the country needs to be able to enjoy the economy that it is enjoying now. This is what Davis has mentioned recently. He continued to disclose that there are industries that depend on the workforce that immigration brings to the country. These industries include public services.

All of the industries that take advantage of immigration for labor should not have to suffer as it would affect the whole economy. In fact, they should still be allowed to have the capacity to hire the laborers that they would need. Since the UK population is not that willing to do several types of jobs that are needed to be fulfilled, immigrants have been the solution to this problem.

No cap for immigration

Davis had to answer a question regarding having a cap on UKimmigration especially for all of the aspiring immigrants who come from any European Union nation. Of course, this would be a very interesting question and Davis’ answer would be deemed with high regard.

His response was something worth looking into. According to him, the exit is technically all for having control on the borders back to the government of the country. It is technically just about being against immigration but it more on having managed immigration in the country.

Immigration will be managed but there will not be a cap. Any changes would mean policies that would help serve the country’s interest and that technically means that immigration will continue and that it will not be put out with a cap as the country needs laborers and workers to keep its economy as strong as it is today.
